Divorce

Divorce can mark a major upheaval in life. Often future plans, including financial arrangements, have to be adapted to work effectively for an individual's new future.

Initiating or adapting portfolios following divorce is an ever increasing part of our work. Often there is a settlement payment which can be invested for long term capital growth or to provide a regular income. Retirement plans may need to be evaluated following the potential loss, or lump sum payment, of pension entitlement from an ex partners pension scheme.  We are experienced in dealing with these issues and the resulting liaisons with solicitors and accountants.

Following divorce, many people start to take more responsibility for their future financial well being, having previously been used to the financial security of being part of a married couple. It is important that any financial advice sort is independent, trustworthy and tailored to the individuals needs.
